Will this be a digital zine?
Yes, this is a completely digital project.How much will it cost?
We're not sure yet, we are looking to have half of the profits donated to a charity. The total cost will depend on interest and total number of contributors.Will there be character ships featured?
There is a possibility that some pieces may include shipping, others may not.Does my piece HAVE to feature space themes?
Yes, your piece must feature some elements from both space themes and One Piece characters/elements.Will this zine touch on spoilers?
This is likely, as some contributors will be up to date on the manga so spoilers can be included.Why do I have to be 16+ to join?
Due to the possibility of more mature themes in this zine (in line with those featured in the manga/anime), as well as the topics no doubt discussed in the server we'd like to make sure all our contributors are 16+ at the time of their application.Do I need to have zine experience to get in?
No previous zine experience is required, mods will be basing decisions from the strength of an individual's application and portfolio.Is it needed to have created for One Piece before?
We are looking for at least one work in your portfolio to show One Piece characters, so that mods can gauge how your style may convey the characters. However, you do not need to be a prominent OP creator to be accepted into this zine.
Guidelines
CONTENT GUIDELINES:This zine is dedicated to characters of One Piece in space settings. Which (if any) ships will be included in the zine and other information guiding the content will be determined by the Interest Check.All final submitted pieces must feature canon characters from One Piece, as well as a space-like element. Final word count for writers will be 2,000 words and page artists are expected to provide a full-color/shaded work with background.💫WRITER APPLICATION GUIDELINES:Selection will be based on characterization, story setting, emotion and depth, grammar.Please apply using 3 - 5 of your best works with word counts from 1,500 to 2,500 words, as well as a link to your full portfolio.
At least one piece has to feature a character of the One Piece universe.💫ARTIST APPLICATION GUIDELINES:Selection will be based on depiction of a character (movement, anatomy), depth in your piece (emotion, use of color, shading), and backgrounds (especially for page artist applications)Please apply using 3 - 5 of your best pieces, as well as a link to your full portfolio.
